“Jon Stewart to host Grammy Awards 2013 MusiCares tribute to Springsteen;
Neil Young to perform

– Jon Stewart is hosting the MusiCares salute to Bruce Springsteen. The Recording Academy also announced Wednesday that Elton John, Neil Young, Mumford & Sons, Sting, Mavis Staples and Kenny Chesney will be among more than a dozen performers who will help pay tribute to Springsteen during the Feb. 8 benefit concert, held in Los Angeles two days before the Grammy Awards.
Springsteen is MusiCare’s person of the year, an award given to a performer who is notable both artistically and philanthropically. The sold-out concert will benefit MusiCare’s emergency financial assistance and addiction recovery programs.
Other performers scheduled to appear include Juanes, Tim McGraw and Faith Hill, Jackson Browne and Alabama Shakes. Today I had the great pleasure of speaking with Neil Young. He has put together a concert to benefit the American Red Cross which will happen this Thursday at the Borgata Event Center. He’ll play with Crazy Horse.

Neil Young & Crazy Horse to play benefit concert in Atlantic City

Neil Young & Crazy Horse have announced plans for a benefit concert on Thursday, December 6th, at the Borgata Hotel Casino and Spa in Atlantic City with proceeds going to aid victims of Superstorm Sandy. Proceeds will go to the AMERICAN RED CROSS HURRICANE SANDY relief effort.
Tickets for the event, billed as “A Special Evening With Neil Young & Crazy Horse,” go on sale Friday, November 30 at 10am at TheBorgata.com or by-phone at 866-900-4TIX (4849) and will be priced at $75 and $150. All seating is general admission. Everest will open the show.
Crazy Horse, which is Young, Billy Talbot, Ralph Molina, and Poncho Sampredo, has been touring North America this in support of its latest album Psychedelic Pill.
In a press release, Young urged: “Come on down here and join in the relief effort.”
