Neil Young & Crazy Horse have been confirmed to appear at Way Out West which takes place in Gothenburg, Sweden from Thursday 8th until Saturday 10th August 2013.
The legendary rocker joins his band Crazy Horse featuring the line-up of Frank ‘Poncho’ Sampedro, Billy Talbot and Ralph Molina for the first time since 2001. Last year they released two albums ‘Americana’ and ‘Psychedelic Pill’ and Neil will be playing tracks from these alongside their back catalogue.
The band have also confirmed European festival appearances at France’s Les Vieilles Charrues Festival, Switzerland’s Paleo Festival, and Rock In Roma in Italy, plus gigs in the UK this summer.
The event hosts national and international acts at venues all over the city; rock clubs, nightclubs, churches, theatres and cultural centres are all used to showcase breaking and more established acts as part of the festivals club concept, Stay Out West.
Other recent line-up additions include Alabama Shakes, Of Monsters and Men, Azealia Banks, Kendrick Lamar, The Knife, HAIM, Local Natives, Disclosure, Tame Impala, Foxygen, Goat, Danny Brown, Angel Haze, Solange, James Blake, Iris DeMent, Mariam The Believer, Skaters, and Money.
The main festival takes place in the 137 hectare park of Slottsskogen in Gothenburg on the Friday and Saturday of the festival weekend. Other acts perform at various venues in and around central Gothenburg on the Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights.
Tickets are priced at 1895 SEK (approx £180) for a weekend ticket.
